	ATI Casting Service LaPorte, Indiana ATI Casting manufactures locomotive engine blocks, large castings for electricity-generating windmills, and many other castings for large-scale equipment. Due to increased demand the company was required to expand its facility. Because of land restraints the new 60 foot tall structure had to be built within the existing facility. The facility had to run at full production capacity during the construction process and the existing building below had to be removed after the new building was complete. Other challenges include working during the winter months and a new 120-ton crane rails had to tie into the existing rails.
