Michigan City, Indiana (September 9, 2009) -Tonn and Blank Construction Company, headquartered in Michigan City, Indiana, is pleased to announce the addition of Roger Knaggs, Program Manager, to its team of construction and design/build specialists. Knaggs brings over 28 years in the construction industry and 15 years of healthcare construction experience to the Tonn and Blank organization. In his role as Program Manager, Knaggs functions as a personal liaison between Tonn and Blank and the owner to select and lead the project team and provide seamless coordination and continual cost/schedule control from project conception to close-out.

Prior to accepting the position of Program Manager at Tonn and Blank, Knaggs was a Project Executive with the Hammes Company in Brookfield, Wisconsin. At the Hammes Company, he functioned as the Program Manager for two major healthcare systems - a $300 million hospital campus expansion and outpatient cancer center for St. Francis Hospital & Health Systems' Indianapolis campus and a $330 million replacement hospital for Community Mercy Health Partners in Springfield, Ohio.
Other positions held in his extensive career in the construction industry included Project Executive with Skanska USA in Southfield, Michigan; Vice President of Herman & Goetz in South Bend, Indiana; Senior Project Manager with Centex Construction in Nashville, Tennessee; Project Manager with Irmscher, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Project Engineer for various projects throughout Florida and the Caribbean.
Knaggs holds an MBA from Indiana University South Bend and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario Canada.
