Tonn and Blank Construction was founded in Michigan City as Tonn and Blank Construction Company in 1922. Incorporated in 1929, Tonn and Blank Construction Company began expanding its borders and services to better serve northwest Indiana and surrounding areas. In 1998, the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services Inc. purchased the company and renamed it Alverno Construction Corporation d/b/a Tonn and Blank Construction.
Today, Tonn and Blank is a premier resource for contracting, design/build, and construction management services. The organization has built upon its dedicated staff and services to provide cost effective yet innovative capabilities. Tonn and Blank Construction has worked on an array of facilities, including Valparaiso University, Lakeshore Bone and Joint, St. Mary's Church and our area's casinos.
Tonn and Blank Construction joins the ranks of individuals and companies that want to see Northwest Indiana grow without partiality to one county or community. Forum members address the greatest economic, environmental, and governmental issues facing the region today.
Funded by membership contributions and grants, Forum membership translates into a direct investment in the region. The Northwest Indiana Forum is a non-profit regional environmental and economic development membership organization serving northwest Indiana.
