Major Educational Renovation at South Central School
We served as construction manager for the $12 million renovation of South Central Community School, delivering a complex educational renovation project on active school grounds. We guided a large, multi-phase renovation and expansion across occupied elementary and high school facilities. The project added much-needed space and upgraded key areas across the campus.
The elementary and high school both got new classroom additions. We constructed the Student Activity Center (SAC) which provides space to improve athletic and training resources. The SAC features indoor batting cages, locker rooms, a training room, restrooms, and dedicated spaces for coaches and officials. Exterior wall panels for the SAC were fabricated at our Off-Site Construction (OSC) Facility, improving quality control, accelerating the schedule, and reducing on-site disruption.
Major interior upgrades included 38 renovated restrooms, a fully updated library, and improved locker rooms. When faced with issues, we solved them through hands-on, on-site problem-solving. When restroom partition deliveries were delayed, our team installed temporary solutions to keep facilities operational for students and staff. Tight spaces, aging infrastructure, and undocumented existing conditions in locker rooms required creative sequencing and close coordination with trade partners. Through hands-on, on-site problem-solving, we worked through each challenge to deliver durable, code-compliant spaces without impacting school operations.
