The transformation of the Warren Building will begin today as the Artspace Uptown Artist Loft project kicks off. The mixed-use project includes 44 affordable live/work units for artists and their families with ground-floor studio, as well as commercial space. The Lofts are centrally located within the Uptown Art District, along Franklin Street in downtown Michigan City. The estimated cost is $14 million and the project is set to be complete in summer of 2016.
